The Bansilal Badruka School of Music and Dance (BBSMD), affiliated to Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, which has emerged as a premier institute of Classical Hindustani Music and Dance was established in 2001, with the aim of promoting high professional skills in classical music and dance. It has also come up with a new branch at Banjara Hills. The school offers certificate courses in Hindustani Vocal, Tabla, Sitar, Guitar, Keyboard, Kathak Dance, and Bharatnatyam.
Well qualified and experienced teachers impart training to the students adhering strictly to the norms prescribed by the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal and as per the ancient Guru Sishya Parampara. Classes are conducted throughout the year except for a short break of 15 days in summer and 8 days in December.
And take music learning to a higher level if the students wish to appear for exams they may do so. The Indian music section follows the Gandharva mahavidyalay syllabus and the western music section follows the syllabus provided by the Trinity college of music, London. Well qualified and experienced teachers are there to train and guide the students upto the masters level in the selected field of music.
